Chariton Valley Association is seeking a Lead Support Professional. The LSP is responsible for supervising staff, creating schedules, attending IP meetings, facilitating staff meetings, and most importantly assisting individuals to live their lives beyond expectations! Other areas include assisting wherever needed to ensure the home runs smoothly while promoting a supporting, loving environment for the individuals living there. While working with other staff in the home, LSP's will also help assist individuals with disabilities by providing a range of services including community integration, self-help skills, some general nursing care, and overall daily living. The position will also require on-call availability. 

Qualified candidates will be at least 18 years of age or older, posses a high school diploma or GED, be able to physically pull, push or lift 15-20 pounds on a daily basis and have a strong interest in helping others succeed and a caring disposition. Supervisory experience and prior training is preferred. A strong desire to help others is a must. Prior experience working with adolescents and developmental disabilities is preferred.

Salary: $14.40 /hour


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Be 18yrs of age or older
  • Prior field experience of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred

Schedule/Availability: Based on the needs of the program. Full-time employees are expected to be available to be scheduled at least one weekend shift per week. This position also has an on-call rotation responsibility.
